The Long Island Tourette Syndrome Association support groups will next meet on Friday, May 2, 2008 and Friday, June 6 at 7:30 p.m. at the DeMatteis Center in Old Brookville. We will have three separate support groups running simultaneously: for children, teens and parents/adult. As usual, siblings of TS kids are invited. The Youth Ambassador (peer education) training program participants will also meet. Our wonderful art therapist, Ivy Bell-Bazer will lead our children’s group while clinical psychologist Dr. Brett Goldberg will lead our teen group.
The DeMatteis Center is located on the north side of Northern Boulevard in Old Brookville, directly opposite the New York Institute of Technology campus. To get there from the Long Island Expressway (495), take Exit 39N (Glen Cove Road). Follow Glen Cove Road north to Northern Boulevard (Rte. 25A). Make a right and proceed east, about one mile to second traffic light. Make a left into the Center's parking lot. The Center is approximately one mile east of Glen Cove Road and one mile west of Route 107. | |||
